The Jams

Some serious hardware jams over the years! Featured, then by category or date…

Featured Jam:

Digitakt with DigiPad Launchpad Pro custom firmware jam and walk-thru. Taking the live play features of the Launchpad Pro to new levels! Pressure based macros like Rytm, now available on Digitakt (thru LPP of course)

Check it out on patreon.com/fenixsong to get the firmware

Roland MC-707, MoDX ++ Jam:

Deluge orchestrated live hardware jam. Recently getting really into the Roland MC-707 Groovebox for its cool tones and great user interface. Yamaha MoDX plays another big role with an original sound design featuring Wave-Sequencing, Pads, and a thick, multi-layer arp. Novation Summit power tones with 2 original sound designs.

Yamaha MoDX!

1st jam with it. Synthstrom Deluge Sequenced + live play on MoDX. MoDX can really be a complete sound engine for a full recording! Even vocals can go thru it with FX and Vocoder so I could see a full song start to finish on it. Depending on the song, maybe it could use a bit of analog synth - but you could make it work fine without too. The drums on MoDX sound great too!

Why do you jam?

A chance to learn gear fully, prepare for live shows, and sometimes they turn into songs

Instrumental jams sometimes allow the tone of each synth/drum/guitar to shine more

Rytm!

Elektron Rytm and I had a good phase - hopefully getting back into that but right now on to other things (troubles with hardware). Great percussion tones and even melodic but a bit unstable for that sometimes. Raw VCO’s will do that to you…I may wait for a MarkIII before getting back into this wild beast.
